Exit Procedures for Taught/Research Postgraduate Students

(Applicable to students who complete their studies and meet the graduation requirements of Summer Term, AY2023-24)

Dear students,

According to the notice from the University, Taught Postgraduate Students must complete the school-leaving procedures by August 5, 2024 (Monday), and Research Postgraduate Students must complete the school-leaving procedures by August 15, 2024 (Thursday). To facilitate the smooth completion of graduation procedures, the Graduate School Office has formulated the following graduation instructions. Students are advised to read them carefully.

1. 【School-Leaving Procedures】

Please check and complete the procedures for graduation and school leaving on the “Student Affairs Management System” (https://stu.cuhk.edu.cn/). Please follow the guidelines: https://itmks.cuhk.edu.cn/pages/udAnRJL9Tvc to fill in the Graduate Exit Survey and graduation departure. You are required to complete the Graduate Exit Survey before you finish the graduation application. Students may log in【Graduate's Leave Clearance】and click in 【View My Application for Graduation】to track the approval process. Kindly note that degree certificates can only be collected after all School-Leaving Procedures have been completed.

2. 【Check-out Procedures】 (Applicable to students who live on CUHK(SZ) campus, Shenzhen MSU-BIT University, or MUS)

According to the notice from the University, Taught Postgraduate Students who will finish their studies in the summer term of the 2023-24 academic year must complete the check-out procedures from the residential colleges by August 5, 2024 (Monday). Research Postgraduate Students must complete the check-out procedures by August 15, 2024 (Thursday). In case of special circumstances, please submit a written application to the College/Shenzhen MSU-BIT University Office/MUS. For the check-out procedure and entry requirements for parents and vehicles, please refer to the notice from the College/Shenzhen MSU-BIT University Office/MUS.

3. 【Degree Certificate】

Students who meet the graduation requirements will be conferred the degree from The Chinese University of Hong Kong on October 15, 2024. It is expected that the Graduate School will issue a notification regarding the collection of degree certificates in October 2024 by email.

Please note that the degree will be conferred on October 15, 2024, and the date of collecting the degree certificates will be determined by notice from The Chinese University of Hong Kong.

4. 【Contact Information】

After school leaving, your university email account is still valid for usage. Your postgraduate Programme and the Graduate School will send notice emails (such as the graduation ceremony, degree certificate issuance, etc.) to you.

5. 【Household Registration Transfer】 (Applicable to students who have personnel profile in Mainland China)

6. 【File Transfer】 (Applicable to students who have personnel profile in Mainland China)

File transfer can be initiated after the degree certificate is issued. The Graduate School will send relevant notices to students by email in November 2024.
