Notification to Applicants
1. Application Deadline

2. Submission of Supporting Documents
Applicants are required to provide true, accurate and complete information in support of their applications. Any misrepresentation in the documents or information submitted will result in the disqualification of their applications and, if admitted, the cancellation of their enrolment at the University.
Applicants must complete their application for the programme before the deadline, accompanied by the documents specified below. To facilitate the application process, applicants should upload electronic versions of all required documents to the Postgraduate Programmes Application System.
If individual programmes require additional materials, applicants will need to submit hard copies or electronic files of the specified documents to the relevant programme office upon request. All submitted materials are non-returnable. In the event of an unsuccessful application, all submitted documents will be securely destroyed.
Required documents include:
a. Completed application form (via the Postgraduate Programmes Application System).
b. Official transcript(s) issued by your home university*.
○ Scanned copy of original official transcript(s), showing a complete record of courses taken, and examination results, and the grading scheme for all tertiary level studies.
c. Scanned copy of certificates of academic/professional qualifications (e.g., graduation certificate, the degree certificate, and certifications of other relevant qualifications) *.
○ Applicants with degrees from Mainland China must provide both the degree certificate (学位证书) and graduation certificate (毕业证书)
○ For applicants enrolling in AY 2026-27 and beyond: Online Verification Report of Higher Education Qualification Certificate and Online Verification Report of Higher Education Degree Certificate, or Certificate of Authentication for Foreign Academic Degrees and Qualifications issued by the Ministry of Education Service Center for Scholarly Exchange (CDGDC)
d. Documentary evidence demonstrating fulfillment of English language proficiency requirements.
e. Confidential recommendations from two referees (for all applicants).
f. Copy of identity card or other identification documents.
g. Specific materials required by the relevant Graduate Panel, as listed in the Postgraduate Prospectus.
h. The University may require applicants to submit additional information or documentary proof if deemed necessary.
* Certificates and transcripts, which are not in English or Chinese, should be accompanied by an official certified translation in English.
3. Application Fee
The application fee for admission to one postgraduate programme is RMB600. For more information, please refer to https://www.cuhk.edu.cn/zh-hans/page/8803. The application fee is non-refundable. Applicants should pay the application fee through the Postgraduate Programmes Application System, which offers payment options via WeChat Pay, Alipay, and other third-party platforms.
4.Selection Process
Graduate Panels will begin the selection process upon receipt of the applications and recommendations. Individual programmes may require applicants to take an entrance test or attend an interview. Applicants will be notified separately by the relevant Graduate Panels.

5. Application Result
Applicants can log in to https://pgapply.cuhk.edu.cn/ or contact the applied programe through https://gs.cuhk.edu.cn/en/page/28 to inquire about their application results.
6. Handling of Information
The information collected from the application form will be used for the following purposes:
a. As a basis for selecting applicants for admission to postgraduate programmes offered by the University and other related purposes;
b. For verifying the applicant’s public examination results and academic records with relevant institutions;
c. For identifying records of previous studies undertaken as a student at the University or other institutions;
d. As part of the applicant’s student record upon registration for a programme, which will be used for all purposes relating to his/her studies in accordance with University procedures;
e. For identifying multiple enrolments at this University or at any other tertiary institutions upon registration for a programme;
f. For transferring the information, if necessary, to other units within the University to facilitate admission verification communication, operations and planning;
g. For statistical and research purposes, in which case all personal identifiers will be removed.
